Its the first time that a T-Shirt for our Department (MCA) here at NIT, Allahabad is made. From the very beginning, we were trying to do the things bit differently. And I am happy to say that, the final design that came out is good.

The Team :

We started up with a team from both 1st and 2nd year students. Lot of good ideas came in, and what you can see today is aggregation of all of them.

The Idea :

The idea was to show some similarity between students of current batches in a Fun way. We conducted an online survey of current 3 batches (2007, 2008, 2009) . Some questions were like this :

State, Languages, Monthly Mobile Recharge, Counter Strike Hours, Strategical Battles, Neski’s Maggi, OS installed, Artistic Talent and few more. There were approximately 12 questions.

Once collected, the stats were combined to get the result. A sample stat :
We play approximately 150+ hours of counter strike everyday.

The Process :

It took almost 8 days to come to the final result. Lot of ideas were accepted, lot were scrapped. Entire design was done on Photoshop. The back side was done first and there was a hell lot of discussions on front part. Even few sketches were made for the front portion but ultimately we settled with a simple design The Stick Figures.

The Result :

Here is the output what the T-Shirt will look like. Some font sizes need to be adjusted, this pic is only for demo purpose.

COLOURS : Black and White (Sky blue is currently proposed)

BACK : Aggregated stats, showing whats Common in Us
LEFT SIDE : Name of Department and Institute (MCA @ NIT, Allahabad)
