Change is not merely necessary to life — it is life. Twenty Two very beautiful years of my life. And lucky enough to be leading it with good health, enough to eat, enough to spend and important ones there to support and listen to me. Lessons are learned everyday but few of them are life changing. Even I learned some important ones which I want to share with you all with the hope that you will think over them.
- Work on Solutions NOT on Problem : What that means BTW ? Most of the people I met in my life were the one’s who don’t even know the difference b/w the two. Even I was one of them. But what I learned is when solving a problem – There is no point in attaching ego or emotions to it. There is no point in knowing everything (technically or in general) in precise detail. Even, most of the time, there is no point in knowing all the facts. But what’s important is you should be able to get thing done ( of course ethically ) correctly. And for that you need two things – common sense and the knowledge from where to extract information. I mean, if there is technology like google then why to search for things manually ? if there is something called documentation of programming languages, then why to learn everything before hand say which function do what thing ? why to spend money and time in research to develop an ink pen which can work in zero gravity if instead we can use pencil (this incident is false but someone recently developed similar Pen. It is known as Fisher space pen.) ?
- The main thing is to keep the main the main thing : I mentioned in “about me” section of site that I am a perfectionist. It was a bad habit of me until recently. why ? because I use to seek perfection in everything and ultimately either my focus was lost from the main goal or I was not able to handle time and stress simultaneously. I had to let go one of them, either I was short of time or I was working under too much pressure – in both cases the project used to fail. My funda these days is be perfectionist in the main thing, and everything attached to it will follow and others which don’t are actually not even required for completing the task. And ya, there will always be ONE (1) main thing, if not then you are working on it in wrong and probably complicated way.
- Stay away from Negative People : My roomie use to say – No individual is bad, its all relative. Even I strongly believe in this statement plus everyone is great in his own unique way. But there will always be people in your life who will demotivate you or pull you down just to keep them higher or to prove that they are superior (which usually they are not). Some of my friends describe it as “Frequency match nahi hui“. I maintain a safe distance from such individuals. On the other hand, you will find many inspirational people in normal day to day life. I find inspiration in acquaintances, friends, teachers and lot of people I communicate in day to day life. Positivity is everywhere if you look for it.
- There is lot to learn the way Open-source projects are executed : The best thing that ever happened in computers is something called Open-Source. There are tons of lessons to be learned from them, most Importantly working in collaboration keeping the selfish motives aside is so powerful that no one can even stand to compete with it. Although, in the end it proves beneficial for all of the contributors and even if project fails, there is nothing much to be lost by single contributor because the load is shared by all of them unselfishly. And as statistics say, 75% of closed source project ultimately fails. why ? just think over it.
- No matter what’s going in your Life, world won’t stop for you : No one cares about excuses. Even you don’t care about them. Thats why they are called EXCUSES. The technology will keep on changing, everyone will keep moving forward no matter what is going in your life. You cannot ask others to pause for time being until you get back on your feet. Lesson – Keep moving. You can slow your pace, but it is always a good idea not to stop. Keep this thing in mind (it’s difficult to accept, but true) time will heal everything no matter how you feel right now.
- A problem will expand according to time you set aside for it : Try this yourself. Keep 5 days for doing a task, you’ll probably do it in 6-7 days. Keep 30 days for the same task, it will be completed in 35-40 days. The problem and complication will expand with the time. In simple words, you are wasting time by allotting more than required time for problem. Its evident in way we use to study for exams. If there are 3 preparation holiday for an exam or 1, the result in both cases is almost same. You manage it in either situation. The best way I find to do a job is complete it in minimum amount of time (no matter its only half perfect by that time) and then work on it for improvements (this is also the way software projects are executed).
- Don’t beat yourself up but also stay focused on what you want to achieve : There’s nothing to be too serious about, it’s only our ego that makes the things big or small. This is normally evident in case you had some kind of original idea and over a few days of thinking you make it a million dollar idea. It’s also bit evident in initial phase of relationships (I won’t say it ego though), the person is so blinded that sometimes he/she can go to any extreme ignoring the reality and practicality. Just take it easy man. You will enjoy both your life and the job you are doing more if you do things normally or maybe a bit slower.
- Good health and healthy relationships are two most important things in life : Ya, thats right. And you know it already that money is not the most important thing in life. For those who still disagree, well I am not talented enough to prove this fact. Its a bit filmy but true. Even Bill Gates said that more fun is in the competition to make Microsoft stronger, not in the money itself.
- Don’t be afraid to move out of your comfort zone : The last and the most Important thing, be ready to get out of your comfort zone whenever required. You’ll learn a lot and experience a positive change. and that’s where I started it – IT IS LIFE.

Nice work dude !!!
